On June 15, by the decision of the RA NA Speaker Ararat Mirzoyan, in accordance with Article 100 of the RA Constitution and Article 41 of the Constitutional Law the Rules of Procedure of the National Assembly, at the initiative of the Government an extraordinary sitting of the National Assembly was convened. The draft law on Amending the RA Tax Code was included in the agenda.

First, the parliament passed a decision on special procedure of the debate of the agenda item of the extraordinary sitting, according to which, the debate of the draft law in the second reading will be organized after passing it in the first reading within 24 hours. Three hours were fixed for presenting the recommendations in written form and the conclusion of the Head Committee on the initiative.

The key speaker, the RA Deputy Minister of Finance Arman Poghosyan has noted that there are two ways of calculating the profit tax quarterly advance payment sums are established by the RA Tax Code.

According to Arman Poghosyan, the functioning system of the profit tax advance payments is not sufficiently flexible, and because of that resulted in current realization problems for the entities in the present economic situation.

After voting, the draft law was passed in the first reading.
